Freelance Production Artist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the Freelance Production Artist in Packaging will create and maintain print-ready packaging artwork for beauty and skincare products, working remotely on a contract basis for six months while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with brand and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update print-ready packaging mechanicals for a high volume of beauty products
• Translate approved designs into accurate production files, ensuring adherence to brand standards and technical specifications
• Proofread and quality-check files for layout, color, and production issues before final release

Required qualifications

• Strong experience converting design files into print-ready packaging mechanicals
• Working knowledge of packaging print processes, including dielines and production specifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with familiarity in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field preferred
