Freelance VFX Artist

Job Summary

Seeking a Freelance VFX Artist with experience in photorealistic consumer product visualization, the remote position will focus on optimizing CAD assets for rendering, camera and lighting matching, and integrating products into photographic or AI-generated backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize complex CAD geometry for rendering and integrate products into provided backgrounds
• Analyze background images to recreate perspective, scale, lighting, reflections, and shadows in 3D
• Collaborate in a creative production environment, iterating on designs and ensuring high-quality outputs

Required qualifications

• Proven experience creating photorealistic consumer product renders for advertising or marketing
• Experience with importing, cleaning up, and optimizing dense CAD files such as Parasolid, STEP, and STL
• Proficiency in major 3D applications like Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
• Advanced skills in lighting, shading, materials, texturing, and rendering
• Solid understanding of photography, including lenses, perspective, and camera matching
