Front End Engineer
Job Summary
To support the modernization of critical federal applications, the full-time Front End Engineer will lead the transition of legacy systems to modern React architectures while developing responsive UI components and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of legacy front-end codebases to modern React architectures to enhance scalability and performance
- Design, build, and maintain responsive UI components for both desktop and mobile environments using React and related technologies
- Implement test-driven development workflows and ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in front-end software development with a focus on React.js
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and Bootstrap
- Solid understanding of React fundamentals, including hooks and state management
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
