FSA Actuary for Performance Guarantees

Job Summary

As the Director, Actuarial & Performance Guarantees, this full-time remote position will manage the design and execution of performance guarantees, ensuring actuarial integrity in client contracts and collaborating with finance and sales teams to validate business cases and forecast outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Shape deals by collaborating with sales on structure and guarantee terms to ensure commercial attractiveness and actuarial soundness
• Lead the design and execution of performance guarantees, including measurement and settlement processes, while ensuring defensibility of claims
• Partner with Accounting and Finance to develop expected payout estimates and ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606

Required qualifications

• Credentials: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) required
• 8+ years of health actuarial experience, including 3+ years in performance guarantees or value-based contracts
• Direct Medicare Advantage actuarial experience, with knowledge of the MA bid process and related requirements
• Proven experience in shaping deal structures and negotiating actuarial terms with health plans or employers
• Advanced skills in SQL and a statistical programming language (R or Python), with experience in data warehouse environments
