FSA Actuary - Stop Loss Captives

Job Summary

Driving the strategy and growth of stop loss captives, the full-time remote AVP and Actuary will lead actuarial oversight, evaluate captive arrangements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support profitable growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead actuarial oversight of captive and reinsurance initiatives, including performance monitoring and strategic recommendations
• Evaluate and analyze captive arrangements and reinsurance treaties to support growth and profitability objectives
• Develop tools, models, and analytics to measure captive performance and inform business decisions

Required qualifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred; experienced Associates (ASA) with a strong record of leadership will also be considered
• 12+ years of actuarial experience within insurance, reinsurance, or captive-related environments required
• Deep expertise in captive insurance arrangements and reinsurance structures
• Strong understanding of insurance financials, including GAAP and statutory accounting
• Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
