FSA Healthcare Actuary

Job Summary

Supporting healthcare providers in a remote full-time role, the FSA Healthcare Actuary will evaluate value-based contracts, model provider performance, and manage client projects while leveraging extensive actuarial techniques and consulting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Model provider performance under various value-based payment models and evaluate contracts from the provider perspective
• Analyze claims, enrollment, and CMS data to address utilization and cost drivers while drafting client-facing materials
• Manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines while communicating directly with clients and supporting proposal writing

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field
• FSA designation with five to eight years of healthcare actuarial experience
• Hands-on knowledge of CMS or CMMI total cost of care programs and experience with attribution methodologies
• Proficiency in Excel and experience managing projects, including scoping and client contact
• Solid understanding of the US healthcare system and experience working with detailed healthcare claims data
