Full Stack Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the VA Notify notification portal, the full-time remote Full Stack Engineer will build and maintain API endpoints, develop a Ruby on Rails application, and contribute to the software development lifecycle while working with an Agile engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain API endpoints and services for application integrations
- Develop and maintain a Ruby on Rails application supporting the notification portal
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, build, and testing solutions
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails
- Minimum of 3 years in an Agile software development environment
- Strong programming experience in a major open-source language (Ruby, Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript)
- Solid understanding of core web technologies: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and XML
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a low-level security clearance
