Fund Accountant

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and motivated, the remote Fund Accountant will manage the accounting and financial reporting for open- and closed-ended investment funds under UK GAAP, US GAAP, and fair value principles while working in an international environment focused on private equity and venture capital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting for closed-end funds, including maintaining investment ledgers and general ledger accounts
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and execute month-end closes, reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Assist with regulatory filings and investor reporting packages while contributing to the improvement and automation of accounting processes

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial accounting, or audit, ideally within an AIFM or asset management context
• Strong financial acumen with knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, and/or IFRS
• Completed commercial or accounting-related education, ideally complemented by a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA)
• Very good command of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting or fund administration software is a plus
• Excellent command of English and strong communication skills
