Fund Accountant

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and motivated, the remote Fund Accountant will manage the accounting and financial reporting for investment funds under UK GAAP, US GAAP, and fair value principles while contributing to the automation of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting for closed-end funds, including maintaining investment ledgers and general ledger accounts
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and execute month-end closes and reconciliations
• Independently research and resolve discrepancies, assist with regulatory filings, and maintain organized documentation for all fund accounting activities

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial accounting, or audit within an AIFM, asset manager, or audit/tax advisory firm
• Strong financial acumen with knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, and/or IFRS
• Completed commercial or accounting-related education, ideally with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Very good command of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting or fund administration software is an advantage
• Excellent command of English and strong communication skills
