Job Summary
Supporting the Controllers and working closely with the Accounting Manager, the full-time GAAP Accountant will manage key elements of the financial close process, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and drive improvements in accounting operations in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly accounting close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes while improving workpapers and processes for closing specific accounts
- Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze historical results and support projects aimed at automating and enhancing accounting efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to real-world business transactions
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
