Job Summary
Designing and developing serious games and simulation-supported activities, the full-time Gaming Designer will create interactive experiences for public health and medical preparedness, working remotely to transform exercise objectives and operational plans into engaging game mechanics and scenarios.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and facilitate serious games and simulation-supported activities for various audiences
- Translate operational plans and objectives into game concepts, rules, and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce integrated exercise experiences and support planning and evaluation meetings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in game design, simulation, instructional design, or a related field
- Relevant experience designing games or simulations for the U.S. Government or complex operational organizations
- Experience developing scenarios, game mechanics, and exercise-support products
- Ability to interpret operational requirements and create engaging participant experiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn Government-provided tools
