Job Summary
To build the connectivity and profiling backbone for data systems, the full-time remote Sr. GCP Data Engineer will manage data source connectivity, profiling, and ingestion pipelines while ensuring data quality and lineage tracking.
Key responsibilities
- Own data source connectivity by building and maintaining adapters for various data services
- Implement data profiling and quality checks, ensuring data lineage and supporting ontology mapping
- Design and operate batch and streaming ingestion pipelines to keep the data catalog current
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with ingestion and metadata pipeline development
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
- Experience with data profiling, lineage, and metadata catalog tools like Dataplex
- Familiarity with property graph or RDF platforms, with query experience in Cypher, Gremlin, or SPARQL
