GEDSI Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a remote, part-time GEDSI Consultant, the position will provide technical leadership in integrating Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion principles across project activities, ensuring inclusivity and responsiveness to the needs of marginalized groups.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an inception package and GEDSI Action Plan operationalization plan within the first 15 working days of consultancy
• Deliver quarterly technical advisory updates and reviews of priority project activities, ensuring GEDSI integration
• Develop and implement GEDSI capacity-building sessions for project partners, including training materials and assessments

Required qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or related discipline
• 7 to 10 years of professional experience in gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion programming
• Demonstrated experience integrating GEDSI into climate change adaptation and natural resource management programs
• Proven experience working on FCDO-funded projects or with major bilateral or multilateral donors
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, intersectionality, and inclusive development approaches
