General Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing legal function, the remote General Counsel will lead legal and enterprise-risk strategy, oversee corporate governance, and manage contractual agreements while providing strategic advice to the CEO and board.
Key responsibilities
- Own the commercial contract architecture and improve templates for efficient deal processing
- Act as the accountable legal adviser to the CEO and board, managing material risks and legal sign-offs
- Lead corporate development initiatives, ensuring governance and contracts support rapid decision-making
Required qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior legal decision-maker in-house or closely supporting one
- Strong understanding of data-intensive technology, particularly in adtech or privacy technology
- Ability to form defensible positions on data protection and translate them into practical decisions
- Experience directing specialists while maintaining internal judgment on legal matters
- Qualified lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction, such as the US or UK
