General Extender

Job Summary

To enhance medical interpretation services, the part-time General Extender will work remotely for 24 hours per week, primarily assisting in the creation and editing of Radiology reports while ensuring compliance with AHA and ACR guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Augment a physician's ability to provide medical interpretation services and assist in creating Radiology Final Reports
• Transcribe radiographic dictations and manage the distribution of patient orders to radiologists
• Collaborate with other General Extenders to ensure timely reading of all orders by radiologists

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in health science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• One year of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Editor
• One year of experience using medical terminology and knowledge of human anatomy
