General Manager, Student Loans

Job Summary

Overseeing the Student Lending team, the full-time remote General Manager, Student Loans will be responsible for P&L management, scaling acquisition through partnerships and paid media, and driving strategic growth initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L for student lending, setting revenue and profitability targets while delivering regular performance reports to the Executive Leadership Team
• Drive borrower acquisition and growth through SEO, partnerships, and paid media channels
• Lead the cultivation and negotiation of strategic partnerships that enhance revenue and broaden market reach

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in fintech, marketplace, or consumer lending roles with a proven record in scaling acquisition
• Demonstrated experience in owning a business unit P&L, including revenue forecasting and budgeting
• Strong leadership experience in high-growth environments, successfully leading cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with skills in leveraging data and BI tools for performance optimization
