Job Summary
To support a growing pharmaceutical company, the remote Generic Prescription Drug Purchasing Manager will identify and negotiate supply agreements for finished-dose generic prescription products while establishing direct relationships with manufacturers.
Key responsibilities
- Identify commercially available finished-dose generic prescription products suitable for government distribution
- Establish and expand direct relationships with generic drug manufacturers
- Negotiate pricing, purchasing terms, and supply agreements with manufacturers
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of direct generic prescription drug purchasing experience with a pharmaceutical wholesaler, distributor, or GPO
- Experience negotiating pricing and purchasing agreements with manufacturers of finished-dose generic prescription drugs
- Established commercial relationships with generic prescription drug manufacturers
- Experience identifying and sourcing commercially available generic prescription products
- Familiarity with VA, Department of Defense, or other government pharmaceutical purchasing channels is preferred
