Georgia Licensed Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telepsychiatry practice, the remote Georgia Licensed Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat patients with serious mental illness and substance use disorders, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth-based psychiatric evaluations and provide evidence-based treatment for patients
• Manage medication and follow-up care for high-risk patients, ensuring connections to community mental health services
• Act as a behavioral health consultant within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to care planning and quality improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority
• Experience managing complex psychiatric conditions, including substance use disorders and serious mental illness
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure
• Comfort with delivering care via telehealth and technology-enabled platforms
