Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Georgia Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will engage with healthcare teams to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Improves clinical documentation quality through admission and continued stay reviews following established guidelines
• Facilitates modifications to documentation to ensure accurate representation of patient severity and reimbursement levels
• Educates healthcare team members on documentation practices and collaborates with coding staff to optimize DRG assignments

Required qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Five years of professional nursing experience
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding conventions and clinical documentation requirements
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently
