Job Summary
Offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus, the full-time Remote Inpatient Coder will accurately assign ICD-10 diagnostic and PCS procedural codes for inpatient hospital encounters while working from home and collaborating with a supportive team.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures, assigning appropriate ICD-10 codes
- Abstracts diagnostic and procedural codes into the network system as per established policies
- Monitors work queues for missing documentation and codes any accounts that were overlooked
Required qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital inpatient setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
