Job Summary
To ensure the overall quality of auto property damage claims handling, the full-time Georgia Licensed Material Damage Appraiser will conduct appraisals, negotiate repairs with body shops, and document estimates while working primarily onsite in Atlanta, GA, or remotely from various states.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct appraisals from photos and negotiate additional repairs with body shops
- Document estimate summaries in the claims reporting system and ensure timely resolution of estimates
- Evaluate totaled vehicles and handle special projects as needed while adhering to compliance training
Required qualifications
- 5 years of property and casualty insurance background with at least 3 years of appraisal experience
- Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements
- Georgia Licensed Material Damage Appraiser certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in using claims reporting systems
