Georgia Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Prior Authorization team, the full-time Georgia Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist will ensure timely and accurate review of authorizations, assist in overseeing technicians, and serve as a clinical resource, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily work queues within the prior authorization system PAHub
• Review and approve or deny pharmaceutical coverage based on guideline-based criteria
• Communicate process improvements and participate in assigned projects and meetings

Required qualifications

• Georgia Pharmacist license in good standing
• BS Pharm or PharmD degree required
• Managed care experience required
• Prior authorization review experience required
• Continuing education requirements must be maintained
