Georgia Licensed Retirement Specialist

Job Summary

As a Georgia Licensed Retirement Specialist, the full-time remote Retirement Plan Operations Specialist will manage client interactions, document reviews, and the preparation of government filings for 401(k) plans while supporting entrepreneurs nationwide in achieving their business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients to gather necessary information for annual reporting and educate them on 401(k) plan administration
• Review client-submitted documents for accuracy and completeness while preparing required government filings, including IRS Form 5500
• Utilize administration software to perform 401(k) testing, reporting, and reconciliation of plans

Required qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience in back-office financial operations, preferably in benefits administration or retirement plan operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Direct experience with 401(k) or IRA administration, compliance testing, and year-end reporting is preferred
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred
