Job Summary
To support critical defense and national security missions, the full-time remote Geospatial Frontend Engineer will design and build responsive user interfaces, develop geospatial visualizations, and work with large datasets to enhance situational awareness tools.
Key responsibilities
- Design frontend architecture for complex geospatial applications using React and TypeScript
- Develop high-performance mapping and visualization components with technologies like OpenLayers and CesiumJS
- Optimize application performance and create interfaces for substantial geospatial datasets and real-time feeds
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Significant experience developing frontend applications with React and TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, asynchronous programming, and frontend development practices
- Experience working with geospatial data or mapping technologies, such as GeoJSON, KML, or OpenLayers
- Experience creating automated tests using tools like Jest or Cypress
