GIS Business Information Specialist
Job Summary
Supporting Nationwide's geographical management, the full-time GIS Business Information Specialist will provide geospatial analysis and mapping expertise to define territory boundaries for Personal Lines pricing and underwriting, while identifying opportunities for workflow improvements and automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, validation, and delivery of GIS maps and territory-related deliverables
- Develop and maintain documentation for GIS data flows and mapping processes while coordinating with technology partners
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate GIS processes to enhance efficiency
Required qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business, insurance, mathematics, or a related field
- Six years of experience in a business information analysis role or similar position
- Proficiency with ESRI's ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Strong understanding of GIS processes and data management
- Ability to translate business needs into clear data or mapping requirements
