Job Summary
Detail-oriented and digitally minded, the full-time GIS Route Developer will develop navigable routes for the Adventure Cycling Route Network on the Ride with GPS platform, utilizing GIS skills and bike travel experience while working remotely or from Missoula, MT.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform existing route opportunities into published ACRN routes and manage the release schedule
- Build and maintain route geometry and attribute data in GIS, troubleshooting any data issues
- Evaluate route safety and quality based on bike travel experience, incorporating member feedback for improvements
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar) for managing route data
- Experience with spatial databases or geodatabases, including data quality control
- Familiarity with digital navigation platforms like Ride with GPS or Strava
- Personal bike travel experience to assess route safety and rideability
- Strong organization and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
