GIS Scientist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a GIS Scientist to manage and analyze spatial data and support research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to manage and analyze spatial and non-spatial data sets
- Serve as project manager for GIS-based initiatives, including developing maps and conducting geospatial analysis
- Administer GIS licenses and support staff with GIS-related issues while managing and training GIS interns
Required Qualifications
- MS degree and at least one year of relevant experience in a natural resource-related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ESRI software
- Experience working with large data sets, including spatial analysis and/or modeling
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
