GIS Specialist - North Carolina
Job Summary
To support the GIS team, the remote GIS Specialist - North Carolina will provide mid-level GIS support services, manage user accounts and data within the ArcGIS platform, and assist in ensuring ADA compliance for published items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the accessibility working group to implement WCAG-aligned updates for compliance and usability
- Design Experience Builder applications to enhance GIS tool accessibility and improve geospatial data interaction
- Administer the GO!NC ArcGIS Online environment, maintaining user accounts and developing documentation for platform adoption
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Online and Enterprise administration
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, Field Maps, and Experience Builder
- Proficiency in Python and/or SQL scripting
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from requirements gathering to customer acceptance
- Understanding of accessibility requirements and legal compliance standards
