GIS System Administrator
Job Summary
To support the United States Geological Survey, the temporary GIS System Administrator will provide essential assistance and maintenance of Esri applications, manage GIS workflows, and offer administrative support within Windows and Esri environments while working remotely for a 3-month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Provide maintenance and support for Esri applications and GIS workflows
- Resolve issues within Windows 11/Server environments, including configuration management
- Apply security updates and address vulnerabilities on client systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 2 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 4 years of verified relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated experience with Windows 11/Server environments and configuration management practices
- Familiarity with Esri software and ArcGIS Enterprise components
- Experience with other GIS applications like Global Mapper and GDAL is a plus
- Strong ability to manage multiple assignments independently in a remote environment
