Job Summary
Supporting the Environmental Department, the full-time GIS Technician will manage geospatial data creation and analysis, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct data gathering, editing, conversion, and analysis of GIS data, focusing on environmental datasets
- Leverage ArcGIS tools for field data collection and create professional cartographic figures
- Coordinate technical GIS activities and collaborate with engineers, planners, and other professionals
Required qualifications
- Minimum two-year technical degree in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or related field
- At least 1 year of professional experience in GIS
- Basic knowledge of environmental data and current GIS technology, particularly Esri products
- Familiarity with geodatabases, editing, and cartography principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Office 365
