GitOps and CI/CD Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing enterprise application delivery capability, the remote contract OpenShift/Kubernetes GitOps & CI/CD Engineer will architect and implement CI/CD solutions, assess existing environments for containerization, and design standardized GitHub repository structures while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement the SEC GitOps and CI/CD capability, ensuring sound engineering and security practices
- Assess existing OpenShift/Kubernetes environments and develop patterns for containerizing workloads from traditional infrastructures
- Design and implement the Argo CD/Red Hat OpenShift GitOps deployment model, including environment promotion and rollback procedures
Required qualifications
- Typically requires a BS degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise CI/CD and GitOps solutions
- Proven production experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline technologies such as Tekton, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Experience integrating CI/CD workflows with security controls and change management systems
