Global Trade Compliance Director

Job Summary

Leading the company's international trade compliance strategy, the remote Director of Global Trade Compliance will manage compliance with export controls, import regulations, and sanctions while overseeing the global trade compliance program and serving as the Export Control Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company's global trade compliance program, including export controls and import compliance
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions
• Conduct risk assessments and internal audits of trade compliance controls, driving remediation of identified gaps

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in global trade compliance, export controls, or customs, ideally in aerospace, defense, or advanced technology
• Strong operational knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions programs, and U.S. customs/import regulations
• Direct experience interfacing with BIS, DDTC, CBP, or OFAC
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and comfort advising senior executives
