Google Cloud Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support a growing digital technology team, the full-time Google Cloud Database Administrator will manage and implement database solutions, provide operational support, and optimize performance primarily on Google Cloud Platform while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise database technology deployed in the cloud, including Microsoft SQL Server and other platforms
- Monitor database performance and capacity, addressing issues in collaboration with application teams
- Develop and optimize Google BigQuery datasets and support SQL development for reporting and analytics
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in database administration in a cloud-based enterprise environment
- Administrative knowledge of Active Directory and database security
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Familiarity with at least one cloud provider such as Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud database services, including BigQuery and Cloud SQL
