Job Summary
To support database operations, the full-time Google Cloud Database Administrator will manage and implement database solutions, provide operational support, and troubleshoot issues, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise database technology deployed in the cloud, including Microsoft SQL Server and other platforms
- Monitor database performance and capacity, collaborating with application teams to resolve issues
- Develop and optimize Google BigQuery datasets and manage database security and maintenance plans
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in database administration in a cloud-based enterprise environment
- Administrative knowledge of Active Directory and database security
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services, including BigQuery and Cloud SQL
- Familiarity with AI agents and intelligent automation solutions for database administration
