Government Contracts Attorney
Job Summary
Providing dedicated legal support in a full-time remote capacity, the Government Contracts Counsel will manage federal contracting legal matters, including drafting and negotiating agreements, advising on regulatory requirements, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure efficient contract execution and risk management.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to the federal contracting lifecycle, including prime contracts and subcontracts
- Advise on federal Government contracting requirements and analyze modifications and regulatory changes affecting contracts
- Provide legal support for proposal activities and business development, including addressing legal risks associated with teaming arrangements and intellectual property issues
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
- Five years of relevant legal experience in federal Government contracting
- Prior in-house legal experience with a federal Government contractor
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts and business agreements
