Job Summary
Serving as a key legal and compliance partner, the full-time Government Contracts and Compliance Counsel will provide legal counsel across the lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts and compliance programs, supporting a rapidly growing defense business in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel across the lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts, including drafting and negotiating agreements
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal contracting requirements
- Advise executives on regulatory considerations and risk analysis associated with government contracting
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience in U.S. Government contracting and federal procurement law
- Strong working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS
- Experience advising defense contractors or organizations within the Defense Industrial Base
- Ability to independently analyze complex regulatory issues and provide actionable guidance
