Graduate IT Faculty

Job Summary

To support the College of Management and Human Potential, part-time Graduate IT Faculty will teach graduate courses in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Science remotely, while mentoring doctoral students and providing timely feedback and support to enhance student engagement and success.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate graduate courses using the Canvas platform, maintaining an active and academically rigorous instructional presence
• Provide mentorship to doctoral students, offering developmental feedback and guidance on research milestones and academic challenges
• Ensure accessibility and responsiveness to students, monitoring engagement and providing timely outreach and support as needed

Required qualifications

• Earned doctorate in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information systems, or a closely related field
• Three to five years of graduate-level teaching experience in technology-related courses, demonstrating effective student engagement and support
• Experience mentoring adult learners in an online environment, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Commitment to high academic standards and advocating for the learning needs of students in a distance-learning setting
• Demonstrated success in providing constructive feedback on scholarly work to doctoral students
