Job Summary
To support the School of Medicine's Shared Research Administration Resource Group, the remote Grants and Contracts Administrator will manage a portfolio of complex grants and contracts, assisting faculty with proposal submissions and overseeing budget reconciliation to ensure compliance with agency and university regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with guidelines and deadlines
- Manage assigned projects and financial portfolios, advising faculty on budget adjustments and monitoring compliance with reporting requirements
- Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring proper handling of sponsor payments and adherence to institutional policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; research or grants education and/or certification preferred
- Successful completion of specific financial and research administration training within the first six months of hire
- No prior experience required for candidates with a relevant degree; experience may be necessary for higher tiers
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with grant and contract management systems
- Knowledge of federal rules and regulations related to research grant and contract activity
