Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of grants and contracts, the full-time Grants and Contracts Administrator will assist faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant proposals, while also overseeing post-award activities including budget reconciliation and compliance monitoring, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and submission of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with agency and university guidelines
- Manage and reconcile assigned project budgets, preparing complex budget reports and adjustments as needed
- Monitor compliance with regulations and deadlines throughout the grant and contract lifecycle, advising faculty on necessary budget adjustments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; research or grants education and/or certification preferred
- Successful completion of specific financial and research administration training within the first six months of hire
- No prior experience required for candidates with a relevant degree
- Knowledge of federal rules and regulations related to research grants and contracts
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and capable of learning relevant grant management technologies
