Job Summary
To support the School of Medicine's Shared Research Administration Resource Group, the remote Grants and Contracts Administrator will manage a portfolio of complex grants and contracts, assisting with pre-award proposal development and post-award budget reconciliation while ensuring compliance with agency and university guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Assist faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with all guidelines
- Manage assigned projects and financial portfolios, monitoring fiscal performance and advising on necessary budget adjustments
- Reconcile monthly budget reports and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with institutional retention guidelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; research or grants education and/or certification preferred
- Completion of specific training programs within the first six months of hire, including Financial Services Introduction to R3 and Budget Development Training
- No prior experience required for candidates with a related degree; relevant experience is preferred for higher tiers
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn technologies related to grants and contracts management
- Knowledge of federal rules and regulations relating to research grant and contract activities
