Grants Consultant - Scientific Research
Job Summary
To support higher education clients in scientific research, the part-time Grants Consultant - Scientific Research will manage the development and revision of grant proposals, provide consultative services, and conduct training sessions, all in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Review and revise STEM- and health science-focused proposal narratives to enhance competitiveness
- Collaborate with clients to create strong grant proposals from conception to submission
- Conduct grantsmanship training sessions in both web-based and in-person formats
Required qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in reviewing, revising, and consulting on proposals for federal agencies
- Experience writing and researching for a scientific audience
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM-related discipline, with a Ph.D. preferred
- Strong interest in prospect research, fundraising strategy, and grant writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
