Graph Engineer
Job Summary
To support Pharma R&D initiatives, the hybrid Graph Engineer will design, build, and maintain graph-based data models using Neo4j and Python, facilitating the connection of scientific and regulatory data for enhanced research insights.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement graph data models representing entities and relationships in drug discovery and clinical documentation
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Python to ingest structured and unstructured data into Neo4j
- Develop and optimize Cypher queries and APIs for search, recommendation, and knowledge-discovery features
Required qualifications
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Neo4j schema design, Cypher query writing, and performance tuning
- Strong Python skills for data pipelines, ETL, and API development
- Working experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, including relational-to-graph translation
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, or a related field
