Graph Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting Pharma R&D initiatives, the full-time hybrid Graph Engineer will design and maintain graph-based data models, build ETL pipelines in Python, and optimize queries to enhance knowledge discovery in drug development.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement graph data models representing entities and relationships in drug discovery and clinical documentation
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Python to ingest data from various source systems into Neo4j
- Develop and optimize Cypher queries and APIs for search and recommendation features used by research teams
Required qualifications
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Neo4j or a comparable graph database, including schema design and query performance tuning
- Strong Python skills for data pipelines, ETL, and API development
- Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their database services
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, including relational-to-graph translation
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, or a related field
