Job Summary
Providing technical and operational leadership, the full-time remote Ground Systems Architect will manage cross-functional engineering teams and oversee program activities related to design, development, and testing of ground segment systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development of gateway and user-level ground equipment throughout the mission lifecycle
- Define ground and mission operations requirements while ensuring alignment with space systems engineering
- Support hardware and software developments, ensuring full system-level coordination to meet mission requirements
Required qualifications:
- M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or technical programs in satellite, aerospace, or defense systems
- Strong understanding of satellite ground segment architectures and mission operations
- Experience managing technical execution across cost, schedule, risk, and operational delivery objectives
- Active Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI or ability to obtain and maintain strongly desired
