Group Underwriter IV

Job Summary

Conducting risk assessments and producing rates for new groups, the full-time remote Group Underwriter IV will manage underwriting processes for Life & Disability and Worksite products while supporting training initiatives for lower-level underwriters and sales staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess risk and produce rates for new groups with a high level of autonomy
• Complete annual renewals and service current group clients, including benefit changes and inquiries
• Provide training and mentoring to underwriting and sales staff while managing special projects as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of underwriting experience in Life, Disability, and/or Supplemental products
• Advanced knowledge of group insurance and underwriting principles
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Advanced MS Office skills
