Hardware Platform Architect

Job Summary

Leading the architecture of hardware platforms, the full-time Hardware Platform Architect will own the technical roadmap across various components, evaluate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of hardware platforms, setting the technical roadmap across compute, memory, storage, networking, and firmware
• Evaluate emerging technologies through hands-on analysis and prototyping, making recommendations for adoption
• Lead technical reviews and guide platform quality across the lifecycle, including design validation and root-cause analysis of field failures

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 15+ years in hardware, systems, or platform architecture with a record of technical leadership
• Deep expertise in enterprise server architecture, including CPUs, memory, storage, and networking
• Experience with distributed database platforms and understanding of hardware design's impact on performance and reliability
• Proven ability to architect and deliver multiple generations of enterprise hardware products
