Job Summary

Leading a talented AI and machine learning team, the full-time Head of AI will define and execute the AI strategy for a high-growth SaaS company, focusing on improving a document intelligence platform and aligning AI initiatives with business goals, all while working remotely from approved East Coast and Midwest locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization's AI and machine learning strategy
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Machine Learning Engineers, MLOps Engineers, and Data Engineers
• Drive best practices across model development, deployment, monitoring, and evaluation

Required qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building and deploying machine learning products within a SaaS environment
• Deep expertise in NLP, document intelligence, and transforming unstructured documents into structured data
• Proficient in Python and modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn
• Experience deploying production ML systems using cloud-native technologies and containerization
• Background in financial documents, compliance workflows, or regulated environments is advantageous
