Head of Data

Job Summary

Owning the entire data stack as a founding member of the team, the full-time Head of Data will architect and manage AI-native data engineering processes, oversee data pipelines, and lead the analytics efforts to drive data-driven decision-making in a remote environment with a preference for West Coast candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and direct the data stack ingestion, orchestration, and analytics while managing AI agents for coding and maintenance
• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines for clinical, claims, financial, and operational data
• Lead the data team by hiring, managing resources, and setting the data roadmap and quality standards

Required qualifications

• Deep fluency in SQL and Python, along with experience in modern data stack technologies such as dbt and BigQuery
• Proven end-to-end ownership of a data system, including architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Experience working with AI agents for data engineering and analytics tasks
• Strong bias for action and ability to work in ambiguous and evolving environments
• Passion for collaborating with clinicians in the healthcare sector, particularly in serving vulnerable populations
