Head of Data Science

Job Summary

Leading credit performance measurement and monitoring, the full-time Head of Data Science will manage a team of Credit Data Scientists and Analysts while conducting hands-on analysis, developing metrics, and driving actionable insights to ensure the health of credit products in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Cleo's risk metric framework and dashboards for credit performance measurement
• Collaborate with Risk Modelling to translate model metrics into policy and product recommendations
• Conduct end-to-end investigations on performance issues and present findings to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience working directly from the data warehouse
• Proven track record of owning analyses from question framing to delivering recommendations
• Hands-on experience with predictive models and familiarity with key performance metrics in credit
• Experience managing analysts or data scientists, focusing on performance and development
• Knowledge of UK and US regulatory frameworks is a plus
