Head of Drone Insurance Programs

Job Summary

Leading the strategy and development of embedded insurance solutions for the commercial drone market, the full-time Head of Drone Insurance Programs will design and launch innovative insurance programs while building partnerships with aviation carriers and growing Tint's presence in the drone ecosystem, all in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Tint's strategy for the drone vertical, identifying market opportunities and building scalable insurance solutions
• Design and launch comprehensive drone insurance programs, including underwriting guidelines, pricing models, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and manage relationships with aviation carriers, MGAs, and brokers to secure competitive program structures and capacity

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in aviation, drone/UAV, or specialty insurance, with experience in commercial drone operations
• Proven track record in designing or launching insurance programs, including underwriting structures and carrier partnerships
• Strong understanding of drone risk characteristics across various operation types and regulatory environments
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to convert market opportunities into scalable solutions
